Friedrich Arnold Brockhaus - Further reading

Publisher, born in Dortmund, W Germany. He founded the firm of Brockhaus in Leipzig and published the famous dictionary, Konversations-Lexikon, begun by R G Lömbel in 1796 and completed in 1811. The business was carried on by his descendants.
