motion complete

The number of complete cycles per second for a vibrating system or other repetitive motion; symbol f or ?; units Hz, (hertz). For wave motion, it corresponds to the number of complete waves per second. The frequency of tuning C on the piano is 523·25 Hz; the frequency of yellow light 5 × 1014 Hz.
