Outlaw, born in Beveridge, Victoria, SE Australia. After shooting a policeman who was attempting to arrest his brother, Dan, he fled to the outback, where he was joined by his brother and two others, and formed the Kelly gang. After a siege at Glenrowan township, he was arrested, taken to Melbourne, and hanged.
