Naum Gabo - Influence In Britain, Later years, Gabo's Theory of Art

Constructivist sculptor, born in Bryansk, W Russia. He studied at Munich University, and in 1920 helped to form the group of Russian Constructivists, who had considerable influence on 20th-c architecture and design. Forced into exile, he lived in Berlin, Paris, and England, moving to the USA in 1946. Several examples of his geometrical ¬Ďconstructions in space¬í, mainly made in transparent plastics, are in the Museum of Modern Art, New York City.
