National Library of Wales

The library was established by Royal Charter in 1907 and opened on its present site in Aberystwyth, W Wales, UK, in 1916; the main building was not completed until 1955. It is one of the six largest libraries in Britain, and as a Copyright (Legal Deposit) Library, it has the right to claim any work (books, periodicals, newspapers, music, maps) published in the British Isles.
