Illustrator, born in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago (1946–50) and the University of Illinois (1951). Based in New York City, he specialized as a sports artist, and in 1972 was named the official artist for the Olympic Games. He was given the Olympic Artist of the Century Award in 1979.
