Assassin, born in Detroit, Michigan, USA. The fourth child of Polish immigrants, he worked in a wire mill and attended socialist meetings. Following a mental breakdown in 1898, he shot President William McKinley in Buffalo, New York (1901) and was electrocuted that same year.
